Introducing Valor Robots — Industrial Automation That Works on Day 1
The warehouse labor crisis isn’t coming. It’s here.
Across the United States, warehouse and distribution operations are fighting the same battle on three fronts at once: a 49% annual worker turnover rate that costs $5,000–$15,000 per replacement, a fully-loaded labor cost of $30.91 per hour per worker, and more than 120,000 unfilled positions that refuse to close no matter how aggressively companies recruit. By 2035, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that gap will exceed 1.1 million positions.
The industrial automation industry has been aware of this problem for years. The solutions it has offered, however, were built for a different kind of company — one with the capital to absorb a $100,000+ per-unit purchase, the infrastructure to support a multi-year implementation, and the patience to wait for AI training cycles to deliver meaningful productivity. For the tens of thousands of midmarket 3PLs, distribution centers, and light manufacturers who need help now, those solutions have remained out of reach.
Valor Robots was built to close that gap.
A New Model for Industrial Automation
We deploy the Titan — a rugged, purpose-built industrial mobile robot — on a simple monthly subscription. There is no capital purchase. There is no implementation year. Customers pay per robot, per month, and robots are productive from the first shift.
The key is teleoperation. Our robots are managed remotely by skilled human operators through the Adamo platform, which means deployment doesn’t wait for an AI to learn your facility’s quirks. Operators are in the loop from Day 1, handling the tasks that require real-time judgment while the system captures operational data in the background.
That data is what makes Valor different over time. Every shift generates the real-world training signal that powers our autonomy roadmap. The operator-to-robot ratio begins at 1.0 and drops to 0.08 by Year 5 — meaning the same robot becomes dramatically more productive and profitable as the relationship matures. The customer’s subscription price is fixed. Our cost to serve it falls.
Built for Operations, Not Labs
Valor was founded by an operator. Randall Ross spent 25 years leading supply chain and operations at the executive level — sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and everything in between. The Titan was designed for real industrial environments: rugged enough to handle shift-after-shift deployment, modular enough to adapt to different workflows, and engineered on a common hardware platform that allows for meaningful cost reduction as production scales.
The business model reflects operational reality too. Our Standard tier at $4,600 per robot per month is priced to be cost-competitive with existing labor — not aspirationally cheap, but genuinely better economics than the status quo, from the first month of deployment.
Founding Design Partners
We are selecting 3–5 Founding Design Partners — operations ready to deploy in our first cohort, with hardware shipping Q1 2027. Founding partners receive preferred pricing locked for the life of the relationship, direct influence over product development priorities, and priority fleet allocation as we scale.
The Founding Design Partner program is built for operations teams that have felt the labor problem acutely and are ready to move. If you operate a 3PL, distribution center, kitting operation, or light manufacturing facility and want to be first — we want to talk.
Building in the Open
Valor Robots is headquartered in Wayzata, Minnesota. We are a pre-launch company raising a $750,000 pre-seed round to manufacture our first pilot fleet, with commercial deployments beginning in H1 2027.
We’ll be sharing the build openly — engineering progress, customer discoveries, operational learnings, and the honest reality of bringing industrial hardware from concept to deployment. If you want to follow along, subscribe to this blog or connect with us on LinkedIn.
